1 lb. of raw shrimp
4 bay leaves
3 tablespoons pickling spices
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
Place the spices in a small bag or tie in a piece of cloth or use 1 bag of Zatarain's Crab and Shrimp Boil spices instead if you prefer. Heat 2 quarts of water in a large pot and place spices in it. When it comes to a boil, add the shrimp and boil for 5 minutes. Drain and cool with ice cubes to stop cooking. Serve with cocktail sauce and peel and eat.
You can also boil crabs in this same mixture.
