1 lb. lean hamburger
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 slice of bread, finely crumbled
1/4 cup catsup
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix everything well, probably will require kneading with your hands. Once it is mixed, form it into a flat topped loaf about 2-3 inches thick on a rack in either a microwave pan or a baking pan. I always cook this in the microwave and use a rack so it is less greasy.
1/2 cup catsup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
Mix topping ingredients and spread them on the loaf.
To cook in the microwave, it is best to use the temperature probe and cook to 170 degrees internal temperature at a 70% heat setting. If you don't have a probe on your microwave, cook it at 70% setting for 20 minutes and check to see if it looks done inside.
To cook in the oven, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour until done all the way through.
