1 lb. bag of baby carrots
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until carrots are soft, about 45 minutes. If pan starts to go dry, add more water but final results should not be soupy.
These turn out quite similar to the ones Cracker Barrel serves, but my fanily has made them this way for years before we ever saw a Cracker Barrel.
